Personal Matters

Kirsty qualified as a solicitor at a Newcastle city centre firm in 2010.  She had a varied caseload until 2018 when she took on the position of Senior Solicitor in the Private Client department at the same firm.

Kirsty joined Clarke Mairs in November 2019 as a member of the Private Client team, with a special interest in elderly and vulnerable client work.  She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having obtained a Distinction in the STEP Diploma in Advising Vulnerable Clients. In addition, Kirsty has completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Taxation of Trusts and Estates. She is a full member of the Solicitors for the Elderly and is DBS checked.  Kirsty is currently undertaking the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists course with a view to advising and acting for clients in this increasingly growing area of law.

Kirsty can assist clients with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Advance Decisions, Trusts, Deputyship Orders and Court of Protection applications.
