Tim Clarke, partner at Clarke Mairs, is prescribing expert support to a growing number of healthcare clients as he marks the successful purchase of another London pharmacy.

Tim acted for Wole Ososami of Rotamol Ltd – and for NatWest as the lender – in the purchase of Streatham Pharmacy in South West London for more than £1million.

Rotamol Ltd is the latest in a string of clients in the healthcare sector to approach Clarke Mairs for legal representation.

Tim Clarke was recommended to Wole Ososami by Tim’s former clients, South London-based pharmacist Theo Amesimeku and his business partner Chris Fernandez, for whom Tim had completed the purchase of Dulwich Pharmacies – a chain of two independent pharmacies central to the Dulwich community.

Pharmacist Mr Wole Ososami of Rotamol Ltd said: “We know the local area very well and were keen to purchase Streatham Hill Pharmacy as part of our expansion plans. We were becoming a little frustrated with the progress of our lawyers, before some colleagues of ours recommended Tim Clarke.

“Our experience with Clarke Mairs was excellent. Communication was timely and the purchase was smooth – Tim kept us fully informed of progress on a regular basis. We were very satisfied with the agreed price, and if we continue to expand our portfolio then we will certainly be appointing Clarke Mairs to act for us in future purchases.

Pharmacist Theo Amesimeku said: “We purchased Dulwich Pharmacies – incorporating Rumsey Pharmacy and Brockwell Park Pharmacy – earlier this year, as part of a lengthy process which Tim helped to ease, thanks to his continued patience and advice. We were very impressed with his extensive knowledge of our industry and we appreciated that he continually kept us in the loop – we were never left in the dark or felt that we needed to do any chasing. As such, when our colleague was looking for legal support, we did not hesitate to recommend him.”

Tim also recently purchased a Rotherham site on behalf of a pharmacy company.

A spokesperson said: “We found Clarke Mairs to be fantastic in keeping momentum going for the purchase of this business. Tim was efficient, worked to good timescales, and was always easy to contact, which is reassuring when going through the complications of a purchase of this scale.

Tim said: “We very much appreciate the fact that Rotamol Ltd came to us following a recommendation from another pharmacy client. This proves that word of mouth is still very powerful in this industry, and we are really pleased to see that our clients trust us to provide them with a dedicated, personal service, whether they are based locally or elsewhere in the UK. The majority of transactions we deal with are, in fact, out of the region.

“For several months now, we have seen an influx of pharmacy clients, and this looks set to continue.”
