We are delighted to be taking part in Amnesty International UK’s Make A Will Month, which will run from 1-31 March 2017.

Supporters of Amnesty will have the opportunity to have a simple Will written or changed by an experienced solicitor for free. Whilst there is no obligation to include a gift to Amnesty in your Will, it is hoped that participants consider making a gift towards Amnesty’s work. A Will is the only way to ensure that your estate is passed to the people and charities that you want. Once you have made a Will it is important to regularly review it to take account of changes in your life and tax legislation.

Amnesty International work independently and impartially to promote respect for all human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They concentrate on ending abuse of rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination. They campaign for international recognition of human rights issues, for example by public events, fundraising, and opposing specific abuses of human rights through a programme of research and action. You can find our more by visiting www.amnesty.org.

If you would like to make an appointment with a member of our Wills team please contact Maureen Morton on 0191 245 4816.

Should you wish to discuss other matters, such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, care home fee planning and inheritance tax, whilst at your appointment we would be pleased to do so.
