Susan Mairs

Susan qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and has specialised in all areas of insolvency since then. She was a partner at an established practice which she left to set up Clarke Mairs LLP in October 2007.

Susan predominantly acts for Insolvency Practitioners who have already received appointments as office holders. She largely acts for them in contentious matters, assisting them in recovering assets, setting aside antecedent transactions and pursuing claims against directors such as misfeasance and wrongful trading. She also particularly enjoys the investigatory work which is often required into the affairs of either an individual or a company prior to it being placed into an insolvent estate.

She also acts for companies and individuals who find themselves in financial difficulties in advising them on rescue measures.

Susan is a member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).
