Alexandra Bartrope
She practices in private client law, specialising in Wills, Probate and Estate Administration and Trusts. Her expertise means she can advise on the main areas of making a Will such as the appointment of Executors, appointment of Guardians and who the beneficiaries of your estate will be, to dealing with inheritance tax problems, care home fee issues, foreign assets and leaving gifts to minors and/or disabled beneficiaries amongst many other issues. Post death she has expertise in all aspects of estate administration. Alexandra also has vast experience in the drafting and registering of Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as dealing with applications to the Court of Protection. In addition she can advise on, draft and run lifetime and post death Trusts. She also deals with contentious matters such as challenging the validity of a Will, advising on, and challenging the issue of a Grant of Representation and dealing with disappointed beneficiaries. Alexandra Bartrope completed her law degree at the University of Northumbria and qualified as a solicitor in 2006.
